Cameras and access control — on the same network you already manage.
UniFi Protect camera systems and door access control that integrate with your existing network infrastructure. One ecosystem. One management console. One team.
Physical security that works with your IT — not against it.
Most physical security systems are siloed — a separate vendor, a separate management console, and a separate support contract. We deploy UniFi Protect camera systems and UniFi Access door control on the same ecosystem as your network, managed by the same team.
UniFi Protect Camera Systems
IP camera deployment with local NVR storage. High-resolution coverage of entry points, parking areas, and interior spaces — all managed through the UniFi Protect console.
Door Access Control
UniFi Access door controllers with keycard, PIN, and mobile credential support. Manage who can access which doors, on what schedule, from the same console as your cameras.
Remote Monitoring & Access
View live and recorded footage from anywhere. Grant or revoke access credentials remotely. Get alerts for motion events and door access attempts.
Network Segmentation for Security Devices
Camera and access control devices are placed on a dedicated VLAN — isolated from your business network for security, but managed centrally through the same platform.
Local Storage & Retention
Footage stored locally on your NVR — not in a cloud subscription. You own your footage, control your retention policy, and don't pay monthly cloud storage fees.
Ongoing Support & Maintenance
Camera and access control systems maintained by the same team that manages your IT. Firmware updates, troubleshooting, and hardware replacements handled as part of your support relationship.
One ecosystem. One team. No finger-pointing.
The biggest problem with traditional physical security deployments is the vendor gap. When your camera system goes offline, is it a network problem or a camera problem? With a separate security vendor and a separate IT vendor, both point at each other. With CyteWorks, it is all one system and one team — we know exactly what is happening and we fix it.
The UniFi ecosystem — cameras, access control, switches, wireless, and firewall — is managed through a single console. When we add cameras to your environment, they are on the same VLAN-segmented network we already manage, with the same monitoring and the same support relationship.
Physical security questions from Kansas City businesses.
Do I need to replace my existing cameras to work with CyteWorks?
Not necessarily. If your existing cameras are IP-based and in reasonable condition, we can often integrate them into a managed environment. If they are analog or significantly outdated, replacement is usually the more cost-effective path. We will assess what you have and give you honest options.
How long is footage retained?
Retention depends on the storage capacity of your NVR and the number of cameras. Most configurations retain 30–90 days of footage. We size the storage based on your camera count, resolution settings, and retention requirements. There are no monthly cloud storage fees — storage is local and you own it.
Can employees use their phones to unlock doors?
Yes. UniFi Access supports mobile credentials via the UniFi Access app. Employees can use their phone to unlock doors they are authorized to access. You can manage credentials, access schedules, and permissions from the management console.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Camera recording and door access control continue to function locally even when internet connectivity is lost. Footage is stored on the local NVR, and door access decisions are made by the local controller. Remote access and cloud features require internet connectivity, but core security functions do not.
